The new KEO BLADE CARBON is designed to win and improve the experience with spring blade technology in clipless pedals. The spring leaf is fully integrated into the new design, which guarantees unsurpassed aerodynamics. The Blade Carbon with body and spring leaf made of carbon is available as a Ti version (with titanium axle) and a weight of only 95 g per pedal or as a Cr version (chromoly + axle) with 110 g per pedal. It is available in three release hardnesses: 12, 16 and 20 Nm.

OPTIMIZED AXLE LINE GREATER POWER TRANSMISSION AND RELIABILITY

The axle line of the new BLADE CARBON has been completely rethought. It is built around an oversized axle and a cross-sectional axis line consisting of an internally positioned ball bearing and centered sleeve needle bearings under the bearing surface. This new design makes it possible to gain approximately 2 watts at 100 revolutions/minute.

The distance between the ball bearing and the sleeve needle bearing has been increased by 25%. This ensures more rigidity across the entire axle line and consequently improves power transmission.

Particular attention was also paid to tightness. This has been improved by 120% for increased reliability and longevity. For this purpose, the new axle line received a new cover with an O-ring at its outer end. It is equipped with an internally positioned double lip seal.

LOOK axles are only released after a rotation test of 2 million cycles at 100 rpm with a load of 90 kg at the center of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (which causes a shock with each revolution). That's the equivalent of Mark Cavendish sprinting at 1,700 watts at 100 rpm for 333 hours! This test goes far beyond the applicable standard EN 14781.

SUPER STRONG SUPPORT SURFACE

In order to meet the needs of the most demanding riders - namely competitors - the pedal and pedal plate system must allow efficient power transmission with a large and rigid contact surface.

The support surface of the BLADE CARBON is provided with a 67 mm wide attached and molded plate made of stainless steel. It optimizes the cleat/pedal contact areas for every pedaling angle.

With a contact surface of 700 mm², the BLADE CARBON offers an optimized contact surface for efficient power transmission that is unparalleled on the market.

CARBON TECHNOLOGY FOR PEDAL BODY AND SPRING LEAF
